Collective Brands was formed at the close of Payless’ August 2007 acquisition of Collective Brands Performance + Lifestyle Group (formerly the Stride Rite Corporation). The company operates three strategic business units:

Through our three business units, we hold a powerful portfolio of brands, reaching a broad range of consumer segments at multiple price points and through multiple selling channels including retail, wholesale, ecommerce, franchising and licensing. Since Collective Brands was formed, the company has rapidly expanded its global footprint, and now sells or licenses products in nearly 100 countries throughout the world.
