Bonnie MacDonald took a leap of faith in the late 1990s. The successful professional with 10 years of experience in food and beverage management jumped from the hospitality industry to retail, joining Payless ShoeSource Canada as a District Manager. A special project on customer service and efficiency soon helped her understand the company’s operations from a wider perspective. With this experience, she moved to Manager of Retail Operations for Western Canada. Then she moved up to Director for the entire country.
