Stride Rite Signs Licensing Deal with McCubbin Hosiery
July 14, 2000, Lexington, MA – Stride Rite the leading brand in children’s footwear in the United States announced its new licensing partnership with McCubbin Hosiery to develop an exclusive line of children’s hosiery products. The three-year agreement includes the license for the Stride Riteâ brand.
McCubbin is one of the largest privately held children’s hosiery companies in the country. For over 45 years, they have been the leading innovative children’s fashion hosiery resource in supplying products to better department stores, family owned business and specialty retailers. McCubbin produces and markets hosiery products under its own in-house brand in addition to other licenses including Absorba, Danskin and Simon De Winter. The company’s philosophy is to provide fun, cutting-edge quality products at an affordable price.

The Stride Rite hosiery collection incorporates fashion design elements, key trends, and stylish colors from the footwear collection and will be sold to better department stores and specialty shops. The premier spring 2001 collection will be launched in September 2000.
