Vision Street Wear(R) Signs Punk Band Dead To Me

Vision Website to Exclusively Stream Band’s New Album on Oct. 20

(ENGLEWOOD, CO)  October 19, 2011 – Legendary skate and street wear brand Vision Street Wear® (Vision) announced today the addition of punk rock band Dead to Me to the Vision Crew. An eclectic group of brand ambassadors that embody the Vision lifestyle, Dead to Me will endorse Vision footwear and apparel. The band will exclusively stream its new album beginning Oct. 20 on visionstreetwear.com

“We are extremely excited about this new partnership,” said Bruce Pettet, President and CEO of Collective Licensing International, the company that owns the Vision brand. “The band represents what Vision is all about – style, self-expression and fun with an edge. Dead to Me’s modern sound and unique look make a great addition to the Vision Crew.”

Dead to Me will give fans a sneak peek into the band's  Vision lifestyle  on the road and on stage through Vision’s various online and social media channels.

“We are honored to rock such an iconic brand like Vision Street Wear®,” Anderson, Dead to Me’s drummer, said.  “And considering several of us spend a good amount of time on our skateboards, it’s a great fit for us.”

Founded in 2003, Dead to Me’s lineup has changed over the years, but their out of bounds punk sound remains consistent. The band’s current lineup includes Ian Anderson (drums), founding member Chicken Annicharico (vocals/bass), Sam Johnson (guitar) and Ken Yamazaki (guitar). The band’s latest album Moscow Penny Ante is due out on Fat Wreck Chords on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Vision Street Wear® will exclusively stream the new album on its website, visionstreetwear.com, on Oct. 20.

Dead to Me kicked off its fall tour on Oct. 10. The tour will include a show at the Annual CMJ Music Marathon in NYC on Oct 20. Fans can check out exclusive videos of the band on tour at visionstreetwear.com and enter for a chance to win Vision gear and the new Dead to Me album. About Fat Wreck Chords
Fat Wreck Chords was founded in 1992 by Fat Mike, the not so portly front man for NOFX. He wanted to create a label that would produce the style of punk that he enjoyed listening to. With the success of FAT WRECK CHORDS’ first few releases, including NOFX’s “The Longest Line” EP and Lagwagon’s “Duh” full length, the label quickly snapped up other great melodic hardcore bands like No Use For A Name and Good Riddance. Over the next few years, Fat Wreck Chords grew at a fast and furious pace, swiftly establishing itself as one of the premier independent punk labels on the planet.
